Growing To Succeed - Part of The MTCBC Community Learning and social regeneration scheme. Cyfarthfa Community Greenhouses is a complex based on the grounds of Cyfarthfa Castle, and is currently funded jointly by Communities First and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.  The "Growing to Succeed" project is based at the facility, and aims to support individuals gain skills and confidence within a community setting.

The complex boasts 4 large greenhouses, including a hydroponic house which uses the latest in growing technology, and a large training room. The day to day running of the Greenhouses is provided by staff, service users and volunteers.  Together they provide support to the community members, schools and community groups who access the facility.

We are proud to confirm that we have contributed a number of rare and unusual chilli seeds to the greenhouses, and are looking forward to working with the community members in growing seeds into chilli plants, and teaching them about chillies - how to grow them, their use and a little about the chemistry of what makes them so hot.
